We recognise the importance of partnerships with the communities we serve and key agencies in Tyne and Wear, this will help us to achieve our vision of creating the safest community.
Formal and informal partnerships have been formed to tackle the key issues of the environment, community safety, education and training.
The Government requires all areas to establish Local Strategic Partnerships (LSP). LSP are non-statutory, multi-agency partnerships which match local authority boundaries. They bring different parts of the public, private, community and voluntary sectors together at a local level. This allows them to work together more effectively.
We also work closely with our neighbouring fire and rescue authorities, other metropolitan fire and rescue authorities and Communities and Local Government (CLG).
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service sit on all of the five Local Authority Local Strategic Partnerships. Follow the links below to find out their aims and objectives.
