On Thursday 5 April the Audit Commission will publish scores for the latest assessments of fire and rescue authorities.
In 2005, as part of the Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) we received a ‘fair’ rating for how well we managed the Service. In 2006, we were reviewed in three areas – our frontline services (Operational Assurance Assessment), how well we use our resources (Use of Resources), and how we’re improving on our ‘Fair’ rating from last year’s inspection (Direction of Travel).
In summary our results are as follows?
Use of Resources - performing well (3 out of 4)
Direction of Travel - improving well (3 out of 4)
Operational Assurance - performing well (3 out of 4)*
*when combined with Audit Commission performance targets this score fell to 2 out of 4, performing adequately.
