At Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service, we want to reach out to all members of our community, especially those who are hard to reach, may not speak English as their first language, or may have sensory impairments or disabilities.

It’s our mission to support our community as effectively as we can, and make sure that everyone in Tyne and Wear is safe from the dangers of fire.

In this area we will show how we work with hard to reach communities, showcase the events, celebrations and initiatives that we develop to keep our communities safe and also offer fire safety information specifically for multi-cultural celebrations and for people with sensory impairments.

We will be updating the site regularly throughout the year with news, celebrations and information about our work.

If you would like to work with us to keep your community safe then please get in touch with our Community Relationship Manager Shaun Kelly on shaun.kelly@twfire.gov.uk
