Residents should ONLY put their wheelie bins out on the night before, or morning of the collection and bring them straight back in after the bin collection vehicle has been. This is extremely important, otherwise wheelie bins can:
-
provide an easy way for someone to climb into your back yard.
-
can go missing or be set on fire
-
be overturned, spilling the bin's contents into the lanes, providing fuel to firesetters.
This fire will cost the local economy £1,970. (The Economic Cost of Fire - ODPM, April 2006)
