10.1 Responsibility of Provider
The provider/manager will keep written records in the Fire Precaution Register of the number and type of fire extinguishers in the premises. The entry in the Register will include a note of the actual location of each extinguisher, which should be checked weekly.
These extinguishers should be provided and maintained in accordance with the current British Standard Code of Practice.
10.2 Contact Regarding Extinguishers
If any problems are encountered regarding extinguishers, i.e. extinguisher needed refilling, etc., contact a reputable service engineer i.e. via yellow pages or local directory. For any other problems i.e. siting and provision, contact the relevant Fire Safety Officer.
